Methi roti

Fenugreek or vendhayam is an important ingredient in Indian cooking.It cools the body and helps in reducing the sugar level and cholestral level for diabetic patients. Good thing is that this can be home grown and fresh leaves can be used to prepare dhal or roti or even sambar.

Ingredients
Wheat flour-1cup
Fenugreek leaves-1 cup
Curd-1/2 cup
Amchur powder and channa masala powder-1 teaspoon each
Red chilly powder-1 teaspoon
Turmeric-1 teaspoon
Salt to taste



Procedure
In a bowl mix all the ingredients. Mix well.
 Add water if it doesn't form a soft dough. Keep it covered for 15 minutes.
Make thin rotis and cook on a tawa just like roti.No need to add ghee or oil. You can serve it with pickle and curd.
