kuzhipaniyaram/ Uppu appam

Ingredients
Raw rice-1 cup
Idli rice-1 cup
Urad dhal-Ulutham paruppu-1/4 cup
Thuvar dhal-Thuvaram paruppu-1 TBS
Channa Dhal-Kadalai Paruppu-1 TBS





Soak everything together and grind it to a smooth paste.Allow it to ferment like Idli batter for 10-12 hours


Seasoning 
Onion, Green chillies,Coriander,Curry leaves- finely chopped
Ginger-Grated
Coconut-Cut into small pieces
Add the above ingredients to the fermented flour. Also season it with mustard, Hing powder and Channa Dhal.
Heat the Kuzhi paniyaram vessel. Fill oil in each hole.Make sure it's not up to the brim.
Pour the batter till 3/4 of the hole.Leave some space for the batter to rise.Cook the paniyarams in medium low flame.

Wait till the bottom is crisp and turn it using the stick given.
Cook until the other side is also crispy.Take it out and serve it with sambar and chutney.

    I tried two recipies paneer and peanuts chutney.

    Both turned out awesome.

    For the first time paneer was very soft even the next day. I had tried frying paneer before also but it use to turn very hard.

    THis was the first time i got it right thanks to the directions in your recipies.

    Peanuts chutney also turned out very yummy.

    I will keep posting after trying the other recipies.
